Stop!

Something about the backs of peoples heads combined with rain pouring down the windscreen on the top deck of the 254 this morning made me push the stop button and get off early. Glad I did. The sun came out after that.

I Want to Marry a Prince.

‘I want to marry a prince.’  A Short Story:

Mathilde was nearly 5 years old. Mathilde Had shortish auburn curls. One day Mathilde saw a film about Rapunzel. She loved it. So she asked for a Rapunzel Barbie for her birthday, which she got. For Christmas (which was not long after that) she requested, in her letter to Father Christmas a Rapunzel outfit made of silk. Father Christmas bought her a nylon version, but she didn’t seem to notice.

Mathilde would spend ages combing Barbie’s hair, dressed in her outfit and singing in a strange warble which was that of princesses in films.

One day while Mathilde was eating her cornflakes she said to her Mummy “My hair is yukky.” And she poked out her tongue and blew a raspberry. (Mathilde’s mummy was surprised because Mathilde had lovely hair.) “I want to dye it blond and have it straight. Can you dye it for me, please?” She went on..”and I want to marry a prince too..A nice one”.

Suddenly Mathilde’s Mummy regretted ever showing her Rapunzel. She wanted the Barbie’s head to fall off. “Eat your cornflakes” she replied.
